HOW FAR have i gone?…

By the way earlier today I updated one of my old posts and sent out.. check it here. followig yesterdays’ post. no one can break a smashed heart. what is left of it are fibres ad atries, if theres someone out there trying to reap that out, it should be “DEATH” itself. 😀

i made mention of revealing my 2012 goals and revolution I set in december last year and for US to see how far I have gone.

here… in no particular order

  1. Stay closer to GOD.
  2. Learn to be patient and optimistic.
  3. Push LC forward – Build a website for LC.
  4. Get promoted at work.
  5. Get myself a defined relationship.
  6. Create my blog with atleast one article weekly.
  7. Establish a standard resume.
  8. Increase my network of contacts.
  9. Become more responsible.
  10. Learn to complete my ramdan sessions – Pilgrim to saudi.
  11. No more odd hour parties.
  12. Complete one of my books.

Truth be told, i didnt have to look at a book every month to achieve these goals but they were just twelve plus others registered in my mind as to what and what would make me fulfilled this year 2012 it’s few days till the end of 2012 and i do not think I have done enough. please grade.

  • Stay closer to GOD.

This is marked half way because sincerely, i am better than 2010 and 2011 when talking about being closer to GOD but as you see, im not close enough. sometimes I am even too afraid to ask from him because I have done little or less in creating a bond with him.

  • Learn to be patient and optimistic.

I have  always been optimistic and entutiastic but patience, hmmm it has been difficult but thanks to writing, its helped me so much that what anger and passion i have to pour out, i do it right here on wordpress and my wonderful readers and followers on twitter are just good to go.

  • Push LC forward – Build a website for LC.

This i have proudly crossed. for the new-bees M’ADE used to be LC (LAHYOH COUTURE) but as i evolved being the motive of existence i realised the name couldn’t cart i have to offer and avoiding several mini brands why not put them all under one umbrella (not PDP tho) this gracious umbrella is called M’ADE. M’ADE is definately my greatest achievement this year would continue to top the list until i have sons and adopted kids. lol. as for the website aspect. dont worry before 31/12/12 it’ll be ready. 😀 drum rolls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Get promoted at work.

Adjusts my collar and re-touch my IMAN powder, pouting and posing for camera and several executive handshakes, I proudly say: i am no more the front desk person / secretary, gradually moi CV is making sense. you know i always crave being a front desk officer, well after six months into it, i wanted more. more than just recieving and delivering, i wanted to make impact and have a defined Working experience. i didnt have to go too far, God willing there was an open space in the next office… Human Resource department was empty, a colleague had just resigned and i was suppose to post an ad for a new one when my boss walked in.

boss: M’ade see me now

me: ooo! im enjoying this movie jo *in my head sha*

boss: erm, you know our HRM left on monday abi?

me: nods in disbelieve

boss: the management thinks we need someone immediately  thats why you were requested to post an ad but looking at you and your enterpreneual skills, you are smart, very deligent and goal driven. we decided that you should act for a while pending your time here as a corps member.

me: jaw drops*

boss: what? you cant do it?

me: i can do anything but im not experienced you know?

boss: you see, i know you are capable thats why. dont worry as for the inexperience part, we will get you a professional you can assist when we fully employ you.

me: thinks* fully employ? erm i though i was starting up a business after NYSC O.

speaks* okay boss, just tell me what to do.

Anyways, thats the small dramma behind my getting promoted o, and since the end of NYSC i have been appointed the assisatnt HRM where i work. Its been an amazing tears breaking experience. will gist ya’ll later.

  • Get myself a defined relationship.

Lets just act as if we didnt see this one. you know how it is na. Gal is too busy for this one *covers face*

  • Create my blog with atleast one article weekly.

Ya’ll be the judge of this, with over a hundred and fifty posts in ten months i am more than sure this is achieved but DO YOU ENJOY IT?

  • Establish a standard resume.

I will someday soon post a copy of my resume and CV for you all to see, im no jobberman or CV editor but my boss has helped with the designing and re arrangement and as an HR person i see a lot of good, bad and ugly CVs everyday. mine is more than standard.

  • Increase my network of contacts.

Even though i have not met the president of Nigeria or even Obama, i have small tiny confidence that the small people i have met can do wonders in life, i am yet to post my 30secs moment with dangote, i will soon. in numbers i have met over a hundred top executives, over 500 enterpreneurs and many jagbajantis followers on twitter that make my life fun, facebook? lets not just go there and during the PROJECT I’M MADE i met a couple of people who have impacted in my life. and before i forget those wonderful kids i and many young change agents mentored, their parents. i even had one fix my door recently for free because his kid was one of them, you see? life is give and take. One saturday i was going to shop for vegetables and i got free carrot from one of the market women who recognised me during the project. i might not know the rich people o, but i got free vegetables every weekend, i will be fresher than all of you (in DAVIDO’s voice).

  • Become more responsible and make impact.

I have always been responsible *rme* but i liked free bees. i still do but now, me sef i pay bills, i don get bukata. I have responsibilities at the end of the month, i have responsible for the growth of my community, I am responsible for the welfare of about fourty staffs where i work and many other virtual intending employees. I am responsible for my self, my business and my family. in fact, i am feeling fly (in areske’s voice). I am not just responsible, I am a responsible lady. When you see ME, you gotta respect me o.

  • Learn to complete my ramdan sessions – Pilgrim to saudi.

😦 I’m not entirely happy about this thou, even I completed ramadan and all but many things are still not in place and i’m sorry for not breaking my record and dissapointing those that look up to me. but most especially God almighty, i promise to be better next year. well as for Hajj mehn, i got online and realise it takes a fortune to go for hajj o and I was earning just 30k per month *covers face* let’s hope for 2013  sha… I must go o and driver AVENZA when I get back. *smiles*

  • No more odd hour parties.

Oya protest this one if you ever saw me in a night party this year. I’m now a good girl o. Night clubbing days are so over and I miss my girls but I deduced a much better way to party hard. lets see sha. I will invite all of you (my readers and followers).

  • Complete one of my books.

Anything can still happen, I am half way into it and because i gbagaun alot, my parents wasted money on the fake english teacher they got me, it slowed me down. stop blaming! its my fault and I’m responsible for this failure and I hope to finish and publish it soon. ISA

SO, all of you that always make my head swell saying I am the perfect girlfriend and sister and everything, you see I’m not even close to being one, I am a work in progress. This post is meant to make people understand that setting goals helps you succeed better and measuring how far you have gone helps you break record. Remember Usain Bolt, he’s such a genius and role model, why? because he breaks self-records.

…i compete with no one but my self…

peace out!!!

I had been out for 3hours, even my mom feared for my life, she was been assured of my well being, i was just short on blood and lack of energy. Waking up at about 10pm the ward was empty, My mum was still beside me, holding him so close. He was small, red and dark headed. I rolled over to get comfort, my mum called on the nurses, they checked on me and confirmed i was fine. They welcomed me to life with smiles and teases of how lazy i was, i wasn’t exactly eager to hold him but i always loved miracles, he his my miracle.
Mum handed him over, he was fragile and tiny, i was afraid i would crush him. Breast milk was all over me, immediately i held him close he cried, he’δ not had milk for last few hours. I didn’t know what to do, even i had watched women feed their babies it didn’t occur to me what next to do. He was screaming so loud, i started shedding tears, i was afraid i’ll never be up to the task, i will never be able to make him smile, i will never be the right mother for him and i was too afraid to start the new life right on my alms. I was consoled and encouraged by everyone around. My mum helped me raise him up to a more comfortable position he sucked like he has been practising from the womb. My breasts ached so much, i couldn’t even retrieve them from his warm lips. I watched and caressed him till he slept off.
The next day didn’t start easy, had to mother-routines, these things don’t just come like the usual house chores but its joyful because every seconds reminds you of how miraculous your life is. On the 17th of September my life took a new turn. I felt true Joy for once in my life, i was ready to makeup for all the L♥√ع i didn’t show him from the day i found out he was changing my whole world. But sincerely, my mum was most excited. I took the opportunity to ask her if she had heard from Aman, she nodded showing me my phone. Aman had been calling and sending me message. He even sent me a picture of my red baby with a caption “like papa(me)”. Seeing that brought a big grin to my face. I was glad someone outside my family had my back. Even before i dropped the phone, he called again, we spoke non-stop until “red baby” interrupted.
Two days passed, i was discharged from the hospital, as much as my mum would have loved to celebrate, circumstances won’t allow. Getting back home was welcoming and relaxing. Aman was waiting with lots of gifts and smiles. I was too shy to even look up to him, he was eager to receive red baby from my mum. After settling and resting, i remembered the last thing i saw immediately after my delivery, I asked my mum about it. She insisted it was Aman and his friend.
Confirming it wasn’t Aman’s friend brought much more concern to me than my mum. Things had settled and red baby was named “Aahil Basim” smiling prince, Basim was my Father’s name and Aahil-prince was the next thing i could think of. I loved him more and more by the day. Aman stood by me. He would check on us every night. He his truly a blessed man. Sometime in December he brought his Grandma to see us. My son! (Yes, he’s mine and mine alone) keeps growing bigger and healthier. It took no re consideration to cancel furthering my education in Cyprus, i just couldn’t imagine leaving Aahil, i won’t even concentrate, my whole world now revolves around him.
It was new year’s eve and as expected, you get many calls, texts and emails. I usually don’t pay attention to most of them, Aahil is too troublesome to even let me concentrate on social media. But this particular email struck me. It was from Josh. I really wish to copy and paste his message here but i had promised not to expose anymore personal messages.
His last words were ” a known devil is better than an unknown angel”. I obviously remember every bit i had with him, his mother’s words to mine. All the pain, the scars and the regrets. Aman has been there for me, he’s not asked me for anything, he’s the man my son knows. He’s hard working and God fearing. He is everything you want in a being not just a man. Even though he hasn’t asked, i know he’s only giving me time to heal. This i know because of how many times we’ve had to talk about us. He knows everyone around me and I’m sure if he had more friends and family to show i would have known them. How can Josh just show up because he thinks he can, how???

kindly comment and share, thanks

Asalam alaikumn, waramatu lahi wabarakatu

Been a while, How are my beloved readers doing? I hope insha Allah we are doing exceedingly well.
Been so down of recent and the act of writing has been missing plus i have been working round the clock, trying to beat time and breaking my own record. Alhamdulilah, am still on track, with your non stop prayers and wishes.

During my course of silence and non-blogging, a lot of things crossed path my ever busy mind, which will be revealed in this week’s posts. Please enjoy.

Status of Women in ISLAM

According to the Qur’an, men and women are equal before God; women are not blamed for violating the “forbidden tree,” nor is their suffering in pregnancy and childbirth a punishment for that act.

Islam sees a woman, whether single or married, as an individual in her own right, with the right to own and dispose of her property and earnings. A marital gift is given by the groom to the bride for her own personal use, and she may keep her own family name rather than adopting her husband’s. Roles of men and women are complementary and collaborative. Rights and responsibilities of both sexes are equitable and balanced in their totality.

Both men and women are expected to dress in a way that is simple, modest and dignified; specific traditions of female dress found in some Muslim countries are often the expression of local customs rather than religious principle. Likewise, treatment of women in some areas of the Muslim world sometimes reflects cultural practices which may be inconsistent, if not contrary, to authentic Islamic teaching..

The messenger of God said

“The most perfect in faith amongst believers is he who is best in manner and kindest to his wife.”

Women in Islam

At a time when Islam is faced with hostile media coverage particularly where the status of women in Islam is concerned, it may be quite surprising to learn that the majority of converts to Islam are WOMEN

The Muslim woman was given a role, duties and rights 1400 years ago that most women do not enjoy today, even in the West. These are designed to keep balance in society; what may seem unjust or missing in one place is compensated for or explained in another place.

FACTS NOT FICTION

This information has been written with the objective of briefing you on the true Islamic teaching regarding women laid down by the Quran and prophet Mohammad over 14 centuries ago.

Islam declared women and men equal.

Islam condemned pre-Islamic practices degrading and oppressing women.

The same injunctions and prohibitions of Islam equally apply to both sexes.

Islam gave woman the right of inheritance and the right of individual independent ownership unhampered by father, husband, brother, son or anyone else.

Islam gave women the right to accept or reject a marriage proposal free from pressure, and by mutual agreement to specify in the marriage contract that she has the right to divorce (if she misses that option she has the right to seek court divorce if she deems the marriage to have failed beyond repair).

Islam does not require woman to change her name at marriage.

Islam protects the family and condemns the betrayal of marital infidelity. It recognizes only one type of family: husband and wife united by authentic marriage contract.

Jazakum Allah kairan….. Please share! May Allah Make the rest of this month, easy for us. AMIN!

ask him before he asks you

ask him before he asks you

“Oh how swiftly, it’s mid-Ramadan now

I sit here, wondering and thinking how,

Have I spent my first days of Ramadan fruitfully?

Or have I wasted the time unknowingly?”

Ramadhan comes, for a short month it’s here

Will I ever meet the Ramadan next year?

Allah Oh Allah, help me guide my heart through

For only You know, if I’ve devoted enough to You.”

-excerpts of the poem “Not done enough this Ramadan” by
Udiana Jamalludin

Ramadan, as usual, has flown by. Despite planning beforehand, many of us may have gotten caught up in a routine after accustoming ourselves to the change in schedule the blessed month brings.

This may have affected our initial plans to increase our worship, contemplation and to seek Allah’s Forgiveness and Mercy with greater fervour. But the last ten days and nights of Ramadan are still ahead for us to benefit from. Ask yourself these questions and see what you can do to make the most of what’s left of Ramadan this year, Insha
Allah.

1. Have I kept pace with the amount of Quran I wanted to read, or have I fallen behind?

2. If so, how much do I have to read on a daily basis the rest of Ramadan to catch up?

3. Have I tried to attend Tarawih regularly, or did I use weak excuses to get out of it?

4. Did I ever pray the night prayer?

5. Did I try praying my five daily prayers with more sincerity,
concentration, and focus than usual?

6. Did I invite anyone over for Iftar (breaking the fast)?

7. Did I help any needy person, even a panhandler or beggar, when I was fasting?

8. Did I regularly seek Allah’s Forgiveness and Mercy with sincerity, fear and hope?

9. Did I encourage my family to fast or participate in regular opportunities for more rewards that come with Ramadan (i.e. good deeds in general, but also Tarawih, more reading of the Quran, etc.).

10. Did I memorize any more Quran than what I knew before Ramadan started?

11. Did I try to be more patient in Ramadan than I normally am?

12. Did I try to control my anger, especially while fasting?

13. Did I try harder to avoid backbiting and slander?

14. Did I constantly check my intentions, to make sure that my good deeds were for the sake of Allah alone, not to impress others, gain their favor, or to show off?

15. Was there even an atom of pride in my heart?

16. Was I quieter and more contemplative?

17. Did I cry in my prayers?

18. Did I read more Islamic literature apart from the Quran?

19. Did I make sincere repentance to Allah, really feeling sorry for my sins?

20. Did I forgive those who hurt me?

21. Did I avoid hurting anyone with my attitude, words, intentions or actions?

22. Did I give any more Sadaqah (charity) than I normally give?

23. Did I share the message of Ramadan and Islam with a non-Muslim?

24. Did I share the message of Ramadan and Islam with a non-practicing Muslim family member or friend?

25. Did I feel annoyed at being hungry while fasting or did I rejoice?

THIS ARE QUESTIONS WE SHOULD ASK OURSELVES….

THANKS FOR READING; THE WINNER OF YESTERDAYS’ GIVE AWAY IS GOING TO HAVE THE MODERN CAP, AMAZINGLY HE’S NOT A MUSLIM BUT HE DECIDED TO MAKE FINDINGS ON THE QUESTION, MAY ALMIGHTY ALLAH BLESS HIM AND REWARD HIM.

HALAL-

Asalam alaikum,

What is Halal?

Halal is an Arabic word meaning lawful or permitted. The opposite of Halal is haram, which means unlawful or prohibited. Halal and haram are universal terms that apply to all facets of life. However, we will use these terms only in relation to food products, meat products, cosmetics, personal care products, food ingredients, and food contact materials.

While many things are clearly Halal or clearly haram, there are some things which are not clear. These items are considered questionable or suspect and more information is needed to categorize them as Halal or haram. Such items are often referred to as Mashbooh, which means doubtful or questionable.

All foods are considered Halal except the following, which are haram:

Swine/pork and its by-products

Animals improperly slaughtered or dead before slaughtering (you probably have to choose where you eat)

Animals killed in the name of anyone other than ALLAH (GOD)

Alcohol and intoxicants

Carnivorous animals, birds of prey and land animals without external ears (e.g vultures)

Blood and blood by-products (fishmeal)

Foods contaminated with any of the above products

Foods containing ingredients such as gelatin, enzymes, emulsifiers, etc. are questionable (Mashbooh) because the origin of these ingredients is not known.

Alcohol: Alcohol is a colorless liquid, produced by the fermentation of sugar or starch, that is the intoxicating agent in fermented drinks and is used as a solvent. Also called ethanol and ethyl alcohol.

Animal Shortening: Shortening is a type of fat such as lard that is solid at room temperature, and is used for making pastr, Vegetable shortening is halal. Animal Fat; May be consumed if from Halal, Zabihah, animals.

Bacon; Meat from the back and sides of a hog that has been salted, dried, and often smoked.

Broth: (from animals), A liquid made by cooking vegetables, meat, seafood, or poultry in water for a long time, used as a base for soups and sauces.

Enzymes* (Microbial Enzymes are okay); A protein substance produced in living cells, that influences
a chemical reaction within a plant or animal without being changed itself; an organic catalyst. Enzymes help break down food so that it can be digested. Pepsin is an enzyme.

Ethanol: Alcohol is a colorless liquid, produced by the fermentation of sugar or starch, that is the intoxicating agent in fermented drinks and is used as a solvent. Also called ethanol and ethyl alcohol.

Ethyl Alcohol: Alcohol is a colorless liquid, produced by the fermentation of sugar or starch, that is the intoxicating agent in fermented drinks and is used as a solvent. Also called ethanol and ethyl alcohol.

*Gelatin: An odorless, tasteless, protein substance like glue or jelly, obtained by boiling the bones, hoofs, and other waste parts of animals. It dissolves easily in hot water and is used in making jellied salads and desserts, camera film, and glue.

Gin: A strong colorless alcoholic drink distilled from grain and flavored with juniper berries.

Ham: Meat cut from the thigh of the hind leg of a hog after curing by salting or smoking.

“This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favor upon you and have chosen for you Islam as your Religion. Quran (5:3) ”

The Concept of God In Islam

It is a known fact that every language has one or more terms that are used in reference to God and sometimes to lesser deities. This is not the case with Allah. Allah is the personal name of the One true God. Nothing else can be called Allah. The term has no plural or gender. This shows its uniqueness when compared with the word god which can be made plural, gods, or feminine, goddess. It is interesting to notice that Allah is the personal name of God in Aramaic, the language of Jesus and a sister language of Arabic.

The One true God is a reflection of the unique concept that Islam associates with God. To a Muslim, Allah is the Almighty, Creator and Sustainer of the universe, Who is similar to nothing and nothing is comparable to Him. The Prophet Muhammad was asked by his contemporaries about Allah; the answer came directly from God Himself in the form of a short chapter of the Quran, which is considered the essence of the unity or the motto of monotheism. This is chapter 112 which reads:

“In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate. Say (O Muhammad) He is God the One God, the Everlasting Refuge, who has not begotten, nor has been begotten, and equal to Him is not anyone.”

Some non-Muslims allege that God in Islam is a stern and cruel God who demands to be obeyed fully. He is not loving and kind. Nothing can be farther from truth than this allegation. It is enough to know that, with the exception of one, each of the 114 chapters of the Quran begins with the verse: “In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate.” In one of the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) we are told that “God is more loving and kinder than a mother to her dear child.”

But God is also Just. Hence evildoers and sinners must have their share of punishment and the virtuous, His bounties and favors. Actually God’s attribute of Mercy has full manifestation in His attribute of Justice. People suffering throughout their lives for His sake and people oppressing and exploiting other people all their lives should not receive similar treatment from their Lord. Expecting similar treatment for them will amount to negating the very belief in the accountability of man in the Hereafter and thereby negating all the incentives for a moral and virtuous life in this world. The following Quranic verses are very clear and straightforward in this
respect:

“Verily, for the Righteous are gardens of Delight, in the Presence of their Lord. Shall We then reat the people of Faith like the people of Sin? What is the matter with you? How judge you?” (68:34-36)

Islam rejects characterizing God in any human form or depicting Him as favoring certain individuals or nations on the basis of wealth, power or race. He created the human-beings as equals. They may distinguish themselves and get His favor through virtue and piety only. The concept that God rested in the seventh day of creation, that God wrestled with one of His soldiers, that God is an envious plotter against mankind, or that God is incarnate in any human being are considered blasphemy from the Islamic point of view. Read about this.

The unique usage of Allah as a personal name of God is a reflection of Islam’s emphasis on the purity of the belief in God which is the essence of the message of all God’s messengers. Because of this, Islam considers associating any deity or personality with God as a deadly sin which God will never forgive, despite the fact He may forgive all other sins.

He is Self-Sufficient or Self-Subsistent or, to use a Quranic term, Al-Qayyum. The Creator does not create only in the sense of bringing things into being, He also preserves them and takes them out of existence and is the ultimate cause of whatever happens to them.

“God is the Creator of everything. He is the guardian over everything. Unto Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth.”
(39:62, 63)

“No creature is there crawling on the earth, but its provision rests on God. He knows its lodging place and it repository.” (11:6)

God’s Attributes If the Creator is Eternal and Everlasting, then His attributes must also be eternal and everlasting. He should not lose any of His attributes nor acquire new ones. If this is so, then His attributes are absolute. Can there be more than one Creator with such absolute attributes? Can there be for example, two absolutely powerful Creators? A moment’s thought shows that this is not feasible.

The Quran summarizes this argument in the following verses:

“God has not taken to Himself any son, nor is there any god with Him: For then each god would have taken of that which he created and some of them would have risen up over others.” (23:91)

(21:22)

The Oneness of God The Quran reminds us of the falsity of all alleged gods. To the worshippers of man-made objects, it asks:

“Do you worship what you have carved yourself?” (37:95)

“Or have you taken unto you others beside Him to be your protectors, even such as have no power either for good or for harm to themselves?” (13:16)

To the worshippers of heavenly bodies it cites the story of Abraham:
“When night outspread over him he say a star and said, ‘This is my Lord.’ But when it set he said, ‘I love not the setters.’ When he saw the moon rising, he said, ‘This is my Lord.’ But when it set he said, ‘If my Lord does not guide me I shall surely be of the people gone astray.’ When he say the sun rising, he said, ‘This is my Lord; this is greater.’ But when it set he said, ‘O my people, surely I quit that which you associate, I have turned my face to Him Who originated the heavens and the earth; a man of pure faith, I am not of the idolaters.'” (6:76-79)

When faith enters a person’s heart, it causes certain mental states which result in certain actions. Taken together these mental states and actions are the proof for the true faith. The Prophet said, “Faith is that which resides firmly in the heart and which is proved by deeds.”

The feeling of gratitude is so important that a non-believer is called ‘kafir,’ which means ‘one who denies a truth’ and also ‘one who is ungrateful.’

A believer loves, and is grateful to God for the bounties He bestowed upon him, but being aware of the fact that his good deeds, whether mental or physical, are far from being commensurate with Divine favors, he is always anxious lest God should punish him, here or in the Hereafter. He, therefore, fears Him, surrenders himself to Him and serves Him with great humility. One cannot be in such a mental state without being almost all the time mindful of God. Remembering God is thus the life force of faith, without which it fades and withers away.

The Quran tries to promote this feeling of gratitude by repeating the attributes of God very frequently. We find most of these attributes mentioned together in the following verses of the Quran:

He is God; there is no god but He, He is the Knower of the unseen and the visible; He is the All-Merciful, the All-Compassionate. He is God, there is no God but He. He is the King, the All-Holy, the All-Peace, the Guardian of Faith, the All-Preserver, the All-Mighty, the All-Compeller, the All-Sublime. Glory be to God, above that they associate! He is God the Creator, the Maker, the Shaper. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. All that is in the heavens and the earth magnifies Him; He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.” (59:22-24)

“There is no god but He, the Living, the Everlasting. Slumber seizes Him not, neither sleep; to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. Who is there that shall intercede with Him save by His leave? He knows what lies before them and what is after them, and they comprehend not anything of His knowledge save such as He wills. His throne comprises the heavens and earth; the preserving of them oppresses Him not; He is the All-High, the All-Glorious.” (2:255)
“People of the Book, go not beyond the bounds in your religion, and say not as to God but the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only the Messenger of God, and His Word that He committed to Mary, and a Spirit from Him. So believe in God and His Messengers, and say not, ‘Three.’ Refrain; better is it for you. God is only one God. Glory be to Him – (He is) above having a son.” (4:171)

Islam has been made perfect for you and i to practice may Allah the Almighty make it easy for us. AMEEN

THE RELIGION OF ISLAM

Islam is the true religion of “Allah” and as such, its name represents the central principle of Allah’s “God’s” religion; the total submission to the will of Allah “God”. The Arabic word “Islam” means the submission or surrender of one’s will to the only true God worthy of worship “Allah” and anyone who does so is termed a “Muslim”, The word also implies “peace” which is the natural consequence of total submission to the will of Allah.

Discover ISLAM

This is a section for people who are interested in learning about the religion Islam. It is a compilation of information on the tenets of the Islamic faith, its principles and practices. Exploring Islam explains the basic fundamental beliefs of the Islamic way of life and how Islam is associated with the world’s other leading religions. This section also explains the duties of abiding Muslims and what the institution of Islam has to offer for each of them.

Muslims believe that mankind’s salvation will result from the worship of God as “One” without equals or partners. Islam teaches us that we can pray directly to God without an intermediary and that no soul can bear the burden of another. The Qur’an teaches us that only God can forgive sins, punish or reward. The Qur’an also teaches us that the nature of humanity is good, and we did not inherit sin from Adam. Each soul comes into being free of sin and inclined toward goodness and is capable of doing good and unless taught against its nature, will incline toward good deeds. The teaching of Islam guide mankind back to our pure nature through knowledge of God. Mankind was obviously no accident and only could have been created by a Supreme Being, something which this section intends to prove.

Islam: A Message to Mankind

The Islamic message to mankind is a very simple message. Through this message God calls mankind to His worship as our sole Creator. He cautions mankind against becoming worshippers of false gods, and the pleasures of life. As our Creator, God knows each of us as though we are the only one that He Created, He knows each of us intimately.
Although humans are interdependent, and we care for each other and love each another, we can only do this within a human and limited capacity. Even our parents and friends do not and cannot know us as God knows us. No one can love us more than God when we are obedient to Him. God is the Creator of such things as love, need, care, etc. and His capacity or ability for such things is infinite and perfect, while ours is limited and imperfect.

The Islamic message is a message that was sent down to mankind from God as a demonstration of God’s mercy, something which He extends to all of His creation. God says in the Qur;’an that His rain is a mercy, and it falls on the crops of the righteous and the wicked. God teach us that He never sleeps, that He never rebukes or reproaches us. He hears all things, sees all things, and knows all things. He teach us that His mercy is greater than His wrath, and that He is always listening to hear our confessions, our questions, our problems and our praise.. God says to us in the Qur’an, ” Tell my servants, the Believers, to call me and I will answer their supplications.”

The prophet Muhammad also teaches us about God. He taught us that God is so merciful that He (God) said, “Tell my servants to never lose hope of God’s mercy. That so anxious is He for their salvation that if one takes one step toward God, seeking His comfort and forgiveness, God will take ten times that number of steps toward His servant, and if one of His servants comes walking toward God seeking God’s mercy and forgiveness, God will run to meet Him.” The verses of the Qur’an and the teachings of the prophet Muhammad called the “Sunnah” or way of the prophet teaches us about God, His Attributes and the purpose for which He created the universe and mankind. Sunnah teaches us the way to live our lives in a manner which leads to inner peace and happiness, and gives us strength through faith in God to face our many
hardships.

These blessings all stem from belief in One True and Living God, who
taught us His name, ” Allah (SWT).”

The Holy Qur’an Chapter 3, verses 31-34 says:

Say, (O’ prophet Muhammad) if you love God, Follow me: Allah (SWT) will love you and forgive you your sins; for Allah (SWT) is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. Say (O’ prophet Muhammad) “Obey Allah (SWT), and His messenger, but if they turn back, Alla (SWT) loves not those who reject faith. Allah (SWT) did choose Adam and Noah, the family of Abraham and the family of Imran above all people, offspring, one of the other: And God hears and knows all things.

May we never loose sight of islam. AMIN
